Repairing Defective Pipework

gavpostpipes_W300The photograph on the left was of the existing pipework that was affecting the efficiency of the hot water supply to the house.

It was ugly and messy, was a mixture of plastic and copper pipe, and contradicts the water regulations in several places.

The mixer valve was faulty due to the system getting too hot. The piping was removed and replaced with all copper pipes and a new mixer valve fitted that can be seen in the photograph on the right.

The system is now efficient and compliant.

Plasterboard Repair

gavpostceling_W300The photograph on the left was the result of a leaking toilet in the room above.

The old plasterboard was removed and replaced with new, filled, sanded and painted.

The photograph on the right was taken before the walls were redecorated by the customer, although that is also a service we can provide if you want us to.

Replacing a Window

gavpostwindow_W300Do you have an old single glazed window that looks ugly and makes the room cold?

This job was part of a bathroom refurbishment and was a quite a simple job for us to carry out; removing the old window out was the trickiest part.

The new window is held in with four bolts, filled and sealed and is incredibly solid and secure.

Boarding Lofts for Storage

gavpostloft_W300Is your house cluttered? Do you need more space?

Putting down loft boards and installing a ladder can provide room for all those items you want to store away.

This job included moving the existing lighting switch you can see in the picture but we can also install lights and sockets in the loft as required.

Putting Up Fencing

gavpostfencing_W300Need new fencing? Replacing old or damaged fencing?

The job is not as complicated or as expensive as it may look. This fence was put up to separate the flat from the garden and can be done while you are out at work to minimise any inconvenience.

Replacing Broken Floor Tiles

gavposttiles_W300This job required a repair as the broken tile was catching on people who walked past and was dangerous.

If you have tiles left over when flooring is laid, keep some spares as you can see that the new tile was the closest match we could find.

The job is fairly straightforward, so you don’t need to replace a whole floor if you crack a single tile.
